With increasing public awareness of the negative effects of insecticides on public health, beneficial organisms and the environment, and the growing demand for sustainable and environmentally-friendly alternatives, we lead global efforts to develop and implement the sterile insect technique and related biologically-based techniques against major insect pests of agricultural, veterinary and human importance.
