The purpose of the event is to provide the participants with information and practical guidance on the development, conduct and evaluation of a safe and effective performance testing exercise to evaluate on-site response forces' ability to prevent radiological sabotage and theft of nuclear material at a nuclear facility.

Participants should be personnel responsible for the preparation, conduct and evaluation of performance testing of response forces at nuclear facilities. Participants should be familiar with response force operations and security contingency planning. Preference may be given to participants who have participated in an IAEA workshop on Management of the Response to a Nuclear Security Events at Nuclear Facilities. Generally, participants are expected to come from the on-site and off-site response force organizations, nuclear facility’s physical protection units, and regulatory authorities. Focus on member states that have operating reactors (NPPs & Research Reactors).
