"I am now visiting your country for high level consultations between Iran and the IAEA.

“The IAEA is in charge of monitoring and verifying the implementation of the nuclear related commitments by Iran. Iran and the IAEA have the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement and the Additional Protocol.

“Today, I had a meeting with Vice-President and Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Chairman Dr Ali Akbar Salehi and I am going to have the honour of meeting the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr Hassan Rouhani.

“We had discussions on the issues related to the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, as well as the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement and the Additional Protocol. Full implementation by Iran of these commitments is very important for the future of JCPOA. The IAEA believes that the JCPOA is a net gain from a verification point of view.”
