In autumn 1978 the IAEA arranged a Study Tour on Radiation Protection and Waste Management. The present review covers radioactive waste management in Czechoslovakia, Federal Republic of Germany, France, German Democratic Republic and Hungary, and is based on lectures given to the tour participants and on scientific visits to research centres and nuclear power plants
