Description
The International Network on Innovation to Support Operating Nuclear Power Plants (ISOP Network) connects a global community to sustain the nuclear industry's future by accelerating innovation. In 2024, they launched their first Innovation Awards program, managed by the IAEA, to recognize impactful innovations in the nuclear sector. The program was successful, gathering 39 unique use cases and fostering collaboration.
A key outcome was the creation of the Use Case Library, a searchable repository of innovations in areas like AI, advanced manufacturing, and robotics & drones. This library helps the nuclear community share knowledge and best practices, breaking down barriers to innovation.
The ISOP Network plans to expand the library and continue supporting innovative solutions. The 2025 awards program aims to showcase more groundbreaking ideas, driving the industry forward and ensuring a sustainable future for nuclear power.
This webinar aims to provide participants with insights into the latest innovations in advanced manufacturing from the ISOP Innovation Awards. It will cover practical applications in the nuclear power industry, benefits, challenges, lessons learned, and solutions. Attendees will explore real-world case studies presented by industry experts and engage in a Q&A session to discuss the implications and future potential of these technologies.
