Texas A&M University (TAMU)
The school ranks in the top 20 American research institutes in terms of funding and has made notable contributions to such fields as animal cloning and petroleum engineering. TAMU is designated as a land, sea, and space grant institution.
Collaboration between the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Texas A&M University is formalized through a Practical Arrangement which aims to strengthen cooperation between the IAEA and TAMU in the area of capacity building for e-beam technology for the following activities:
- Development capacity building programs/projects for the IAEA or for its member states
- Assistance with best practices in implementing extension projects in rural and low-resource areas, thus reaching the??? end users
- Development of materials relevant to IAEA education and training using nuclear or nuclear related techniques
- Participation on Agency expert missions, consulting meetings and research contracts/agreements
- Assistance with a stable isotopes laboratory and e-beam development, analysis, and training
- Any other activity necessary to coordinate a specified mutually agreed upon activity related to research, training and outreach.
