The third meeting of the Standing Advisory Group on Technical Assistance and Cooperation (SAGTAC) concluded on 25 July 2003, with observations and recommendations to the Director General on policy and strategic issues influencing the Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP). These included ways of strengthening the Country Programme Framework (CPF) process, possible options for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of TC project approval, and building partnerships with the development community.

New topics proposed for discussion at future SAGTAC meetings include linkage between the TC Strategy and the Medium Term Strategy of the Agency, Review of Thematic Planning, Programming for Regional Projects, Institutional self-reliance and sustainability.
