The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a meeting at the Agency's headquarters starting at 10:00 CET on Monday, 4 June 2012 in Boardroom A of the M-Building, in the Vienna International Centre (VIC).

The Board of Governors meeting is closed to the press.

Director General Yukiya Amano will open the meeting with an introductory statement. His statement will be released to journalists after delivery and posted on the IAEA Website the same day. Director General Amano is also expected to hold a Press Conference during the Board's lunch break on Monday, 4 June, in the Press Room of the M-Building.

Board discussions are expected to include the Safeguards Implementation Report for 2011, the implementation of safeguards in Iran, Syria and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the implementation of the IAEA Action Plan on Nuclear Safety and the Annual Report for 2011.

Photo-Op:

There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning of each session, morning and afternoon, of the meeting.

Press Working Area:

The Press Room on the M-Building's ground floor will be available as press working area starting from 08:30 on 4 June 2012.
