The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a special meeting at the Agency′s Headquarters at 10:30 on Thursday, 26 March 2009, in the IAEA Boardroom, C04, in the Vienna International Centre. The special meeting is reserved for the selection procedure for the appointment of the Director General of the IAEA. The two candidates for the post of Director General are Mr. Yukiya Amano of Japan and Mr. Abdul Samad Minty of South Africa, and the balloting procedure will be conducted in closed meeting.
