The IAEA will mark International Women's Day on Wednesday, 6 March with an event celebrating 'Inspiring Stories of Women in the Nuclear Field'.

The event will be livestreamed from 13:15-14:30 Vienna time, and will feature three short talks by accomplished women working in nuclear disciplines.

Speakers will include Rumina Velshi, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC); Marina Belyaeva, Deputy Director of International Activities and Director of International Cooperation Department of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation of the Russian Federation, and Amelia Lee Zhi Yi, Mentoring Coordinator for the UN Nuclear Young Generation.

The event will be moderated by Mary Alice Hayward, IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Management.
