The Third African Conference on Quality Management in Nuclear Industry and Research Laboratories will be held from 7 – 8 November 2012.

The conference will be organized by the Nuclear Research Centre of Algiers in collaboration with the IAEA through the African Regional Cooperative Agreement (AFRA), within the framework of the AFRA technical cooperation project RAF/0/027 “Consumer Safety and Trade Development through Competent Nuclear Testing and Metrology Laboratories.”

This conference aims at reviewing the current status of quality system implementation in AFRA countries, to augment recognition of ISO standard implementation and its benefits for international trade and communication in Africa and abroad, as well as to stimulate national authorities to support metrology and accreditation infrastructure in their respective countries.

Researchers throughout the world are cordially invited to attend the conference and to present scientific papers. English is the official language of the workshop.

Selected papers presented at this conference will be published in a special issue of the Journal Accreditation and Quality Assurance (ACQUAL)
