The webinar introduces response measures, including nuclear security specific measures, for MPEs. The first part will give an overview of these response measures in accordance with Section 6 of NSS No. 18 and the second part will provide a summary of the IAEA support programme for States on prevention of and response to nuclear security events during an MPE.In addition, this webinar will introduce the IAEA’s guidance on arrangements for response in the event of a nuclear or radiological emergency, irrespective of the cause, during an MPE, as well as an overview of the assistance offered by the IAEA in emergency preparedness and response, to support national preparedness for MPEs and response in case of an emergency at an MPE.
