This publication is intended as guidance for the conduct of probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) for non-reactor nuclear facilities. The main emphasis here is on the general procedural steps of a PSA that are specific for a non-reactor nuclear facility, rather than the details of the specific methods. The report is directed at technical staff managing or performing such probabilistic assessments and is intended to promote a standardized framework, terminology and form of documentation for these PSAs.
