Under TC Project SYR/4/010 Developing Therapeutic Radiopharmaceuticals, the Syrian counterpart continued their efforts to upgrade and improve the existing cyclotron and related facilities for the production and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals for medical use; thus expanding radiopharmaceuticals production as well as their endeavour to promote Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the production of radiopharmaceuticals. Agency support for improving the production of radiopharmaceuticals contributed to the project's achievements in producing additional isotopes namely I-123-NaI and 123I-mIBG. Hospitals in Syria have been supplied with these radioisotopes. Additionally and under TC project SYR2004, the Syrian counterpart has developed and produced several new products such as iodine capsules, IgG-Hynic Kit, EC Kit, ECD Kit, etc.
