Belize’s first Country Programme Framework (CPF), covering the period 2010–2015, was signed on 12 January 2011 by H. E. Alexis Rosado, Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade of Belize. The CPF was signed on behalf of the Secretariat on 7 November 2010 by Ana María Cetto, former Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation. A Country Programme Framework (CPF) is the frame of reference for the medium-term planning of technical cooperation between a Member State and the IAEA and identifies priority areas where the transfer of nuclear technology and technical cooperation resources will be directed to support national development goals.
Belize has been an IAEA Member State since 2006. Its 2010-2015 CPF identifies five priority areas:

- Human Health and Nutrition
- Agriculture and Food Safety
- Environment and Water Resource Management
- Energy
