The first International Conference on the IAEA Technical Cooperation Programme: Sixty Years and Beyond – Contributing to Development, concluded successfully on 1 June 2017.
The three-day conference marked the 60th anniversary of the IAEA’s Technical Cooperation programme, and was the first ever high level event dedicated to discussing the practices and achievements of the IAEA’s technical cooperation programme, the main mechanism through which the IAEA delivers development assistance to Member States.
The event highlighted the role of the TC programme in sustainable development, discussed future partnership opportunities and examined the way forward for the TC programme.
Several side events, exhibitions and other activities took place on the margins of the conference. A collection of photos from the TC conference can be found here.
A photo booth also allowed participants to take home photographic memories, and to promote the conference hashtag #Atoms4Dev2017. The photo booth album can be found here.
