During the 52nd General Conference on 3 October 2008, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia HE Mr. Irakli Ghvaladze, paid a courtesy visit to IAEA TC DDG HE Ms. Ana Maria Cetto.
Also participating from Georgia was Mr. Zaal Lomtadze who is serving as Head of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Service at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia.
The topics discussed ranged from the environment, health and waste management issues.
